Bumps can be accommodated! You may even want to accentuate the fact that you are pregnant. As with weight-loss, weight-gain requires your shop or designer to be flexible.


As soon as you know you are expecting a baby you need to inform those who may already be making your outfit. And the more pregnant you are, the more urgent is their need to know. If you are having a couture gown, the couturier will be able to work around your growing figure with you. Made-to-order service are more tricky because of the lead time, which is usually four months.


If you are able to tell the shop shop you are pregnant before placing your order, however, they may be able to help you. They can try negotiating with designers and suppliers several weeks or months ahead, who, if you place the order, may be willing to cut the dress nearer your wedding date. But they will only be able to schedule this advance warning. You may even find they won't charge extra for this. It's alternations because you have unexpectedly changed shape that are costly.


It's usually difficult to disguise the fact that you are expecting a baby, even by just a couple of months. Search for choose a style that suits you, is comfortable and well cut. Comfort is crucial, especially when you are pregnant. Do not be tempted to squeeze yourself into an outfit you found before you fell pregnant, especially if you are more than six to nine weeks. It won't be only your tummy that is swelling. You do not want to spoil your day because you phisically uncomfortable. And remember, you are likely to be spending several hours in your wedding outfit.
