Key Tips for a Unique Wedding

You can do many things to make your wedding a bit different to the traditional ceremony which people attend out of obligation. Originality and fun should be the main features of this special day.

If you are starting to think about your wedding and how you want to organise it, the first thing you want is for it to be unique, to move away from the traditional style and for it to be remembered as much for being beautiful and perfect as well as for being original. You can do many things to achieve this, so take note of these key tips for an original wedding:
  • Type of wedding: if you want something different, obviously you won't go for the classic style, so why not opt for a themed wedding, colourful or maybe rural. These are very original and above all, fun, and your guests will love going to such a different marriage where boredom does not prevail.

  • Wedding programme: something that is undoubtedly original is making a wedding programme for the guests. This will include times and places of each event, such as the ceremony, cocktails, dinner, dessert, champagne, cake and presents etc...You could also finish it off with the table plan which we will mention in the next point. Children can hand out the programmes as the guests arrive.

  • Tables: Unless you opt for a picnic style celebration, which can also be very nice, there are many options to make the seating plan original. One option is to cast aside the traditional table numbering and go for more special grouping. What do you think of TV series or film titles? You will most surely have a group of family members of a certain age who would delighted to be sitting at a table called "The Wonder Years" or a group of friends who would fit perfectly with "The Golden Girls". There are lots of possibilities and you will also have a great time thinking up names. Put a sign with a photo of the series or film on each table.

Presents: This is an area that is very trying for many couples, seeing as 90% of wedding presents given by the bride and groom go straight into the junk room, if not the bin itself. There are several original ideas that can be truly enjoyed, such as fun chocolate lollipops which have your names engraved on them, or little towels disguised as delicious cakes. You could even opt for a charity wedding gift. And if there are children present, make up little party bags with sweets and you will win them over.

Activities: Make a special children's area, they can play all day and you won't even notice they are there. Also, if there is a pool, this is perfect for after the party. An outdoor wedding is always much better than in an enclosed space, especially if the weather's good.

There are many different options available if you put some effort into organising your dream wedding, one that all the guests will say, sincerely, is the best one they have ever been to.
