Working with Your Wedding Planner

A wedding planner can be a godsend when you are planning your wedding. You should know how to work best with the wedding planner so that they understand your needs and you understand how they work!

We are often asked how to work with a wedding planner and we always answer “well, we believe that we work with and for the Bride and Groom”.  So what does this really mean?  It means that we take all the stress away from the couple so that they can enjoy all of the planning process and of course their big day.

As professional wedding planners we ask lots of questions and really get to know each and every couple.  Once we have a full understanding of hopes, wishes and expectations we are then in a position to create their own unique wedding plan.  We have lots of suppliers who we know personally and provide options for each element of the wedding for the couple to have a look at.  Usually this is enough to make a choice from but we will continue to source different suppliers until every couple finds what is right for them.

What do wedding planners need from their couples?
  1. Communication – this is key, we can only create your perfect day if we completely understand what your perfect day means to you.
  2. Be honest both with yourselves and us – If you are after inspiration for any aspect of your wedding we will be only too happy to provide it, but if there is anything you don’t like simply tell us.  The last thing we want is to impose anything on you, this is your once in a lifetime day not ours.  When we do something well, please tell us so we can do more of it and equally tell us when we don’t get everything right.  We won’t be offended but we will rectify the situation and make it perfect for you.
  3. Decide where you need help - If you only want help with certain aspects that is fine with us, but at the other end of the scale we can provide assistance with each and every facet of the celebration if that is what you need.
