Marquee checklist

• Get at least 3 quotes
• Determine the size of the marquee you will need to accommodate your guests and ask for a detailed scale plan.
• Does the price include delivery, set up and dismantling, damage and public liability insurance, 24-hour emergency call-out and VAT?
• What kinds of floorings are available?
• What colour is the marquee and is there a choice of linings?
• Can you open and close side doors and windows?
• Do you need lightning, cooling or heating?
• Will you require mobile washrooms?
• If additional power is required can they provide a generator and electrician? (this is advisable to avoid losing your existing power supply by overloading it.)
• Hire a qualified electrician if connecting electrical power to an existing supply.
• Can the marquee hire company supply tables and chairs, crockery and linens?
• How much is the deposit and when is the balance due?
• When will the marquee be put up? (Allow at least a day between the structure going up and the wedding for suppliers’ deliveries and set-up)
• When will the marquee be taken down? Agree exact dates and times.
