Second time around?

Nearly thirty percent of people marrying in Spain are doing so for a second (or more) time. Usually, such celebrations are less formal affairs, but not necessarily. You may have more money to spare this time around, or one of you may not have been married before. Second marriage celebrations open up whole new possibilities. You may opt to marry on one day, and hold a party later on. Perhaps you'd like to hold a civil ceremony with immediate family present, and a larger religious blessing later in the day or week, followed by a reception. You can break all the rules: do what feels appropriate to your circumstances. The bride could be given-away by her children and the best man could be a woman. Both the bride and groom can make speeches and your children, if you have them, can offer a toast. It's up to you. Simply ensure you make informed decisions you are both comfortable with.
