Bridesmaids' blooms

The bridesmaids' bouquets do not have to match the bride's. Indeed they do not have to carry a bouquet at all. Some don't want the traditional fussy look, they might want a single flower worn on the wrist. Younger bridesmaids could carry beskets of flowers, hoops or pomanders. All could also simply wear a corsage, but bridesmaids have one or the other. Never a corsage and a bouquet.

If bridesmaids are carrying bouquets, the shape and colour should complement the bride's bouquet, but without overpowering it. They should be smaller. If you have several bridesmaids, the chief bridesmaid could carry a slightly larger or more eleborate version than the others. Bridesmaids wearing different colours could have the same flowers but the bouquets could be tied with ribbons to match their outfits. Their flowers could match yours, or be made with just one of the blooms in your bouquet  (or the other way around). Your flowers could match the bridesmaid's dresses or their flowers match yours. The possibilities are numerous. Pageboys should wear buttonholes.

Pass-on the advice to your bridesmaids on how to carry a bouquet. And all of you should remember how to correctly hold your bouquets during the photographs (you could ask your photographer to remind you). During the reception you could ask bridesmaids to place their flowers in bathrooms (or other specified places) for decoration until the end of the celebration.
