Corsages

As with buttonholes, giving a corsage to mothers, grandmothers and other special ladies at your celebration is a toughtful way to acknowledge them without breaking the bank. As with buttonholes, corsages should reflect the rest of the flowers, but they also need to be appropriate to the outfits they'll be pinned on. You could find out what the recipients will be wearing, or suggest they contact the florist directly to ensure they receive something they want. Alternatively you could choose fairly neutral blooms. Seek you florists advice. Again, you don't need to stick with flowers, especially as these are for the ladies.

A corsage is pinned to the left shoulder, or the left lapel of a suit, or you could order single blooms that can be tied at the wrist. Sometimes women secure their corsages to handbags, scarves or wraps.

Have the corsages delivered with the buttonholes. If you need some to be delivered with your bouquet, specify which ones to your florist and have him or her label them all, especially if they are not all the same.
