On-the-day fresh-up

Know at all times during the celebration where you have a lipstick, small compact, a brush or comb and tissues. If you are carrying a bag that's obviously a great place for them. If not, ask your bridesmaid or mother to carry them for you, or eventually your groom's pocket is a good place for emergency repairs.

To keep your make-up looking fresh throughout the celebration, first check for shine. A little dab of powder can rectitfy that. If you are going from day into the night you could add a richer lipstick, but be careful, especially if you are not changing. Or apply lipp gloss for the evening which adds a spot of glamour. Check for creases on your eye-lids and touch-up with either your finger or a small brush. Also keep your perfume handy, and a mini deodorant stick or spray in case you get warm.
