Ideas for Getting Guests to Participate in the Wedding

Of all the weddings you've attended, the one that always stands out from the rest is the one where all the guests enjoyed themselves the most. Make your wedding that unforgettable wedding for your guests.

Nobody really likes going to a wedding where the sole focus is the bride and groom, while the other guests do their best to seek entertainment.  Although it is your big day, it doesn't mean you can forget about your guests, who also want to enjoy the day, filled with fun and excitement.  Here we offer you some ideas to make everyone feel part of the celebration:

  • Encourage your loved ones to give a short speech about you.  It's the best way to add that degree of emotion to your day.
  • If you fancy original, fun ceremonies, you can have a themed wedding where your guests have to wear a specific costume.  Just make sure it's something they can easily find and that wouldn't be too expensive.
  • If, among your guests, there is someone with special talents (musical, comedic, dance, or acrobatic) this could be an opportunity for them to show it off for your guests.
  • Test your creative friends to devise surprise games for both the banquet and the return home. It is possible that you could end up a victim of their plans, but it'll be well worth it.
  • Organise dance games for the children. They can jump around and get out all their energy they've been saving throughout the ceremony. Hand out props they can play with like strings of ribbon.

Remember that you have a lifetime together ahead of you and although you won't want to separate from each other for one moment, all those people who want to share this special moment with you also deserve some time and attention at the wedding.
