The defining factor of your wedding day comes down to the time of day you pick to celebrate it. Morning or evening? Day or night? For those who are still undecided, we tell you everything about day, or morning, weddings.
The morning time used to be the queen of all marriages, although more recently, later times have been gaining more popularity among marrying couples. Regarding weddings in the daytime, the following factors should be taken into account:
- A daytime wedding tends to be longer, starting early in the morning and lasting until late at night. You'll have many hours to enjoy your big day with your guests.
- Given that you'll be celebrating for a longer amount of time, you'll also be increasing your budget in order to cover all the services, which you'll be needing over a longer period of time, for example with the photographer or the restaurant where you'll celebrate the wedding dinner.
- You have to wake up early, so you must plan all the details the day before, since there is less time to change or modify your plans once you reach the big day. Hair stylist, makeup, decorating the car, picking up the bouquet.... everything must be done in advance and be well planned.
- Weddings in the day are perfect for a more informal, relaxed celebration. Also, if you should celebrate your wedding far away from where your guests live or if there are elderly or children guests attending, they will likely get very tired by the evening segment of the wedding.
- In certain seasons, the heat can be a true deciding factor when selecting the time of the celebration. In Autumn, weddings can be perfect in the morning, but in the Summer months it can be torture. Keep that in mind.
- Don't forget that the place you want to celebrate your daytime wedding, might turn into a completely different kind of place in the evening for the dinner.
