The great getaway

After having danced the night away, leave on a high. We suggest you plan in advance when and how you'll depart, because this is the last image your guests will have of you and the last you will have of them and your wedding. Therefore, leave with some sparkle in your eyes! You need not depart half way through the evening, as often used to happen, but plan to leave about half an hour before the official finsih time.

Modern brides have dispensed with the traditional "going away outfit", preferring instead to spend all the cash on their wedding gown. And it's the best dress you've ever owned, so why remove it a moment before you have to?

As you prepare to depart, gather everyone around you, toss the bouquet and allow guests a fantastic last glimpse of you, maybe another blast of confetti, some fireworks, sparklers or a grand getaway in a fast car.
