Wedding lists

The wedding list is a system of compiling the articles that the couple will need to “set up” what will be, from the moment of the wedding, their home. electro domestics, furniture, etc.

The lists and wedding gifts form part of a custom that has become fashionable to organise the gifts that will be given to the couple.

There are many establishments where you can create a wedding list.  This includes things that the couple will need for their house, that is to say, furniture, electro domestics, etc. They can also be changed for money.

Another way of organising what gifts are going to be made is to put a piece of paper with a bank account number on it with the invitation so that the guests can pay in an amount of money that they consider opportune. Normally, the amount would be equivalent to what the menu would cost at the restaurant.

In addition to all these possibilities, what many people do is give an envelope with money inside on the very same day as the wedding. The most fair would be for each to give what that they want, although the wedding list system is good to avoid any gifts being repeated and especially if they can be changed for cash, and raise a tidy sum of money.
